Absolutely. This is one of our specialties. Fill out the Tailor My Trip form with your preferences — dates, regions, interests, travel style, group size — and we will design a private itinerary tailored specifically to you.
All tours include: accommodation (hotels and ger camps), all meals as per itinerary, private 4WD transportation, English-speaking guide, domestic flights where applicable, entrance fees, national park permits, and unlimited bottled water. International airfare, visa fees, travel insurance, alcoholic beverages, and tips are not included.
Travel & Logistics
Mongolia offers visa-free entry to citizens of 61 countries. Citizens of many European countries, the USA, and others are included. If your country is not on the visa-free list, you may be eligible for a Mongolian e-visa at evisa.mn. If you book with us, we provide your visa support letter and guide you through the full process at no extra charge.
Summer (June–August) is the most popular time — warm weather (20–25°C), green steppes, and the famous Naadam Festival in July. Autumn (September–October) offers golden landscapes, fewer crowds, and the Golden Eagle Festival. Winter is dramatic and adventurous (−25 to −40°C). Spring is festival-rich with the Camel and Ice Festivals in March.
All international flights arrive at Chinggis Khaan International Airport in Ulaanbaatar. Main connecting hubs include Beijing, Seoul, Istanbul, Tokyo, Moscow, Berlin, and Osaka. The Trans-Mongolian Railway from Moscow or Beijing is also a scenic option.
Main roads between major cities are paved. Most countryside tour routes use unpaved dirt or gravel tracks. A typical day's drive covers 200–250 km over 3–6 hours including scenic stops. Our experienced drivers use high-quality 4WD vehicles and know Mongolia's terrain intimately.
Mongolia is generally a safe and welcoming destination. Violent crime is rare, and Mongolians are famously hospitable. Standard precautions apply in crowded areas such as Ulaanbaatar's markets. Our guides accompany you throughout the entire journey.
Accommodation & Comfort
Tourist ger camps use traditional Mongolian round dwellings adapted for travelers. Each ger has 2–4 beds with clean linens, a wood-burning stove, and interior decor. Camps include separate bathroom buildings with flush toilets and hot showers, a restaurant serving Mongolian and European cuisine, and charging facilities. All accommodation is personally inspected by our team.
We work with carefully selected 3★ to 5★ hotels in central locations, including Shangri-La Hotel, Kempinski Hotel Khan Palace, Blue Sky Hotel, Best Western Premier Tuushin, and Bayangol Hotel. The specific hotel depends on your package and availability.
Wi-Fi is available in Ulaanbaatar hotels. In remote ger camps, some offer Starlink satellite internet, but most do not. We recommend purchasing a local Tour SIM card in Ulaanbaatar — plans from 3GB to 20GB, valid 5, 10, or 30 days. Mongolia uses GSM 900/1800 with 4G LTE in populated areas.
Mongolia uses Type C and Type E plugs with 230V / 50Hz. Most modern laptops, phones, and camera chargers are dual voltage (110–240V) and only need a plug adapter. Check the label on your device before travel.
Health & Preparation
Travel insurance is not included in the tour price but is strongly recommended. We advise purchasing comprehensive coverage including medical expenses, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, and personal belongings before your departure.
No vaccinations are legally required to enter Mongolia. However, we recommend consulting your doctor or a travel health clinic before departure. Standard travel vaccinations (hepatitis A, typhoid) are generally advisable. Your doctor may also recommend additional vaccines depending on your itinerary.
Yes. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergy-related dietary requirements can be accommodated with advance notice. Please specify your needs in the booking form so we can inform all camps and restaurants along your route.
It varies by tour. Most tours are easy to moderate — short walks, camel or horse riding for a few hours. The Tsaatan Taiga expedition requires several hours of horseback riding per day through forest terrain and is rated active. All physical requirements are clearly stated on each tour page.
